Children´s Birthday Party

The best day of the year

Want to spend an exciting birthday in the Museum? For young people between 6 and 12 years of age, we offer the awesome possibility of celebrating an out-of-the-ordinary birthday with us. For two hours, a personal tour guide will be at your disposal. The birthday child and his/her guests will first investigate the exhibition with age-appropriate guidance. Afterwards, there will be an action-packed crafts workshop in one of our workrooms. Once work is complete, a colorfully set birthday table will be ready for your birthday cake (please bring your own food and drink). Choose between:

You can choose...

A magic birthday

Even witches and sorcerers celebrate birthdays! After a magical walk through the exhibit with many opportunities for games along the way, we conjure: either a magic hat, a kaleidoscope, magic witches’ soap, or a magic bag.

Bread and Games

In the exhibition, “Roman Times”, there is a lot to discover: how did the Romans live? How was the Roman Army equipped? Then, the birthday guests enjoy some refreshments while reclined and dressed as Romans. Parents will receive some Roman recipes from us beforehand in order to make the experience even more intense. Afterwards, the children will fabricate an oil lamp out of clay or a wax tablet on which Roman children learned to write.

Stone Age Hunters

The birthday party will first experience the Stone Age hunter in the “Prehistory of the Palatinate” exhibition and see how the first farmers of the Neolithic period lived. Afterwards, the birthday party will either make Stone Age jewelry out of natural materials like feathers, shells, and wood or fabricate some simple tools out of bones.
